Burnham's Lodging opened in 1999 in San Saba, Texas, when the Burnham family remodeled a historical building on the courthouse square to create overnight rooms for rent. Once a club for billiards and gatherings, this historical building was remodeled to accommodate travelers.

 The Burnham family later expanded in 2000, adding a second building from the same block. "The middle building" as it's now called had been used as a sporting goods store, and historically was a mercantile shop.

In 2023, Burnham's Lodging was purchased by Clay Nettleship and is now owned and operated as part of the Nettleship Enterprises family of business in San Saba, Texas.
